About Dr. Sharon Goldblum
Dr. Sharon Goldblum, LCSW, PhD, currently maintains a private practice in life coaching and psychotherapy on Long Island, New York. She is an adjunct faculty member at the Gestalt Center of New York, where she trains other psychotherapists. A practicing Psychotherapist for over 25 years, Dr. Goldblum has always been interested in those factors that contribute to wellness and balance. Her doctorate on Successful Aging was composed of key factors that Dr. Goldblum found led to a successful and vital life at every age. As a Life Coach and psychotherapist, Dr. Goldblum helps her clients to reach this optimal goal.
Dr. Goldblum graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and went on to obtain a PhD at the Union Institute for Doctoral Studies. Her Post-Graduate training was conducted at the Psychosynthesis Center of New York and the Gestalt Center of Long Island.
Dr. Goldblum combines various spiritual paths and techniques in her practice. She deals with psychological issues and trauma as well as growth and potential. She founded Wellspring Spiritual Center and Arbutus House, two holistic wellness centers located on Long Island. She guides her clients through a psychotherapeutic/spiritual process at her retreat center, Lotus Lodge, located on 12 acres of land, creeks and streams between New Paltz and Woodstock, New York. Group retreats and workshops, conducted by esteemed teachers, benefit her clients’ continued growth. Retreats are conducted alone, in a group, or with a client’s family.
In Dr. Goldblum's path of life, she has spent time as a Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician and a Licensed Outdoor Guide, leading groups into the wilderness for vision quests. Most recently, she has spent extended time in India following spiritual pursuits. She is a mother of two grown children, and is an avid animal lover!
